Zambrero holds annual meal packing events on #Plate4PlateDay, where volunteers come together to help pack meals for those in need. Last year we packed over 131,000 meals with 500 amazing volunteers. These meals were shipped to Africa to help change lives through our hunger relief partners Rise Against Hunger. Plate 4 Plate Day is BACK and this year we will aim to pack a global total of 1 million meals! Ireland will be hosting our meal packing day on Thursday 16th October, 2025 from 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm we plan to pack over 100,000 meals. Hosted by one of our wonderful neighbours at University College Cork located at College Road, University College Cork T12K8AF.

Simply eat with us and you'll be contributing to our Plate 4 Plate Initiative. On Thursday 16th October 2025, we'll be contributing double donations to Plate 4 Plate for every burrito, bowl or Kids Zam Box purchase. So save the date and head into restaurant or order online to help end world hunger!
Our founder Dr. Sam Prince has used Zambrero as a vehicle to help end world hunger. By 'simply' serving the best burrito in town since 2005 we have been able to empower our customers, franchise partners and team members to help us make that difference everyday in the lives of communities that need it the most through the Zambrero Plate 4 Plate initiative. INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION PARTNER
We are proud to call Rise Against Hunger our international hunger relief partner. They direct our Plate 4 Plate meals globally to communities in need, where many do not have access to adequate nutrition. The meals are donated primarily through school feeding programs, so not only are children receiving a meal they are in school receiving an education too.
In 2023, we reinstated our Annual Zam Fam Vision Trips with Rise Against Hunger. Our 2020 and 2021 annual conference award winners; Zam Fam Franchisees, suppliers and team members were rewarded with the trip of a lifetime to the Philippines and South Africa. We witnessed the impact of our Plate 4 Plate initiative firsthand on the ground in the local communities we are helping.

Zambrero was introduced to Ireland in 2016 and now has over 31 locations across the country. By October 2024, over 3.7 million meals have been donated in total through Zambreros in Ireland alone.
With plans to expand further, we hope to hold an even bigger meal packing Event in 2024 with a goal of 1 Million meals packed globally!
