WHY DO ZAMBRERO PARTNER WITH RISE AGAINST HUNGER?
Zambrero firmly believes in partnering with organisations with a shared belief that all people in this world should receive adequate nutrition and education.
Specifically, Zambrero partner with Rise Against Hunger due to their commitment to distribute Plate 4 Plate donated meals to support school feeding programs within poverty-stricken communities.
Like Rise Against Hunger, Zambrero is passionate about breaking the poverty cycle, where receiving an education is typically the first step. The promise of a nutritious, hot meal provides parents a clear incentive to send their children to school each day and enables children to not only be well nourished, but to learn and develop key skills that they would otherwise miss out on if otherwise in search of food.
HOW DO RISE AGAINST HUNGER DETERMINE WHERE TO SEND PLATE 4 PLATE DONATED MEALS?
Rise Against Hunger works with vetted in-country partners who meet strict qualification criteria to ensure Rise Against Hunger distributed meals go only to those who need them and do not end up on the open market.
HOW DOES RISE AGAINST HUNGER PACKAGE ITS MEALS TO BE DONATED?
Rise Against Hunger operates meal-packing locations in 28 US cities as well as South Africa, the Philippines, India, Malaysia and Italy. The agency also visits Australia regularly to partner with Zambrero at special meal packaging events.
WHAT IMPACT DOES RISE AGAINST HUNGER HAVE GLOBALLY?
As an international hunger agency, Rise Against Hunger works at the frontline of tackling hunger in 77 countries, where, to date, they have distributed more than 500 million meals to those who need them.
